Here are some videos of my initial testing! More to come, the new porblem is the weak xl steering link, with the Jr 9100t and the big tires it will stretch the plastic link until it falls off. put in steal ball ends and I put washers under it so it can't happen anymore and loctight all the screws on the aluminum servo horn. Note that you have to pull the the entire side of the chassis off to get at it. Take your time in this area of the build. Loc tight everything or you'll be sorry! LoL!

I ran another battery thru the truck on Saturday, had a blast with it, no problems! Took me a couple outings to get the bugs worked out but it's all good now! My buddy just converted his revo 3.3 to e revo so I'll have some videos next week!

Looking good, I like the videos. I have the same wheels on my truck and I keep wondering how long it will take them to break an axle or destroy a diff.

Yep, those are stock shocks, I can drop the truck from over my head and it won't bottom. The stock shocks are pretty good IMO.

There are better shocks out there but these definatley take a beating! I think I'm running 30wt in each one. Figure I'll run this until something bad happens. For heavy bashing I run the spacers above the springs.

Let me know if you have any questions about the chassis. Loc tight everything. Just lost a bolt out of the aluminum steering and bent a aluminum servo horn! Make sure the steering link is as straight as possible! Sucks you have to pull the drivers side tvp off to fix it!

Nice savage build!
I thought about getting the that chassis but went with a stock xl.
Find the any other color besides purple aluminum hubs?
Also what is the plate you are using to mount your servo?
I'll get a build tread of my savage.

There are red, blue, silver, purple 23mm hubs, I went with purple to match the other purple parts the xl came with! The servo plate is from Fast Lane Machine, it comes with the chassis. I did the xl chassis first but due to the flux battery box's I dint feel comfortable with them since there was no way to get all the mount holes in the chassis.
I couldn't be happier with the setup, except for the steering problems, I had another bolt fall out of the rack. Make sure you use loc tight on all the bolts. This will be my 4th steering problem. The big tires put a lot of stress on things. But are worth it in my opinion.

I've been really busy pimping out my LoSi SCTE for the track so this truck is just sitting right now! But what a toy! My buddy did a monster erevo and it is fast but it's just not as cool IMO! This is a real monster truck! I might do a Big Foot body next time like the early monster truck from the movie Big Foot! That would be cool!

I'm having the same trouble with my steering link. Could you share the details on the parts you used and how it went together. I can't picture where you used the washers. Thanks.

I put the washer under the link over the steel ball, so it can't fall down, then put the nut on. I'm using a aluminum servo horn, instead uf putting the link on the outside hole I'm moving the link in 2 spots. Out of the four holes available where it's more beefy, I'm going to lower the servo so the linkage is straight and level. I haven't done it yet but that's the plan. I'll probably do it sometime this weekend.
