Well, taking into consideration that my truck weighs in at about 12 to 13 pounds, the epic engine does wonders for it as I am able to climb just about anything, and I still keep up with the guys I run with and their 2.5 engines. I did gear down to an 18t CB for the torque but that is all I have done to the gearing.

That's a real good deal. Just buy a new or used 2.5 and you're good to go. (I may sell my 2.5)

But I would go with the Sirio .18 or p2 .21 medium block.

go with the .18 sirio man. i have one that just won me a two day race, with 5 pounds of mud on my t-maxx. its a awesome engine. i beat out some truggies on the straights, and a savage too. and are there any hop ups on the maxx? if so, its a great deal!

oh, and by the way, my avatar pic is wrong. my body is covered in 1 inch of mud, without half of the body missing.

Yeah I have the Sirio 3.0 in my Maxx and Rustler. The Rustler is just nasty fast!
