TMaxx Conversion Question
#1
I have an older 2.5 & am changing it over to Electric. Will the Trans off an E-Maxx 3906 directly fit? I remember seeing some stuff on this on the site, but I can not find it anywhere.

Thanks
. That is what I thought. Do you know if I will have to "bulletproof" the gears inside the trans? I have a spare Velinion 3500 & not sure if the trans will hold up.

The trans should hold up fine, there are some roll pins on the input shaft that you may have problems with, but you can replace them with a piece of drill bit, or allen wrench. That should strengthen it up pretty well. I ran a 8xl/4s combo on one for a long time.

I'd be more concerned about the diffs and drive axles than the trans - def replace that roll pin in the top shaft of emaxx trans - they are easier to replace new than after the pin has been destroyed - and teh torque from a good BL setup will shear it off.
Its an easy job especially since you'll have the trans out to start with.
