Ive seen some of you guys spend lots of time and money to make your monster trucks better for the track.Why dont you just buy a truggy.Just asking.I mean no monster truck would ever perform better on a track than any truggy out there.Monsters are made for bashing.Whats the point.

Truggies are BORING. That's why MTs are all about the customization you can perform on them, modifying them to be your OWN vehicle instead of something the masses can go get. You can only do so much to a Truggy, most of which is mundane and boring while with MTs you can do really anything. You could put thousands of MTs together and not one be the same... Something that can't be said for a truggy.

ahhh well said, in Singapore, I am the only EP savage flux and monster truck racing in the 1/8EP series along side truggies and although odds are low, it seems more fun and satisfactory if you can keep up with the truggies =D

The only problem is steering, I am still looking for a solution for my Flux to turn better, I am looking at Integy Hubs wonder if they allow more steering then stock or the HPI aluminium kit (I tried my friends and seems to not help much) ANYONE? any answers?

I don't know what your friend has exactly but I'd recommnd the complete hpi savage conversion kit. It is a bit pricey but it makes an amazing difference that is just unbelievable. Unfortunately there is some modification needed to both the truck and the parts itself. Nothing a dremel and 5 minutes can't fix though.

To answer your question, people spend money on Monster Trucks to do better on the track to win.

It's like asking "why wouldn't you just race a buggy, instead of a truggy on a dirt track?"

Its all about a Hobby, which is why were in rc. I very easily could have went out and bought an Associated RC8T, for the same price I bought my eRevo for.

The difference is the eRevo came with a bunch of electronics that I didnt plan on using, which I already removed, so looking at the two, I paid the same $400 for a roller eRevo that I would have spent on the RC8T.

Put all of your favoirte electronics in either truck and your at the exact same cost regardless of the route you chose.

Which is better on the track - Hands down the RC8T, IMO. Which is better for the majority of us who like to have fun both on and off the track, the eRevo.

The eRevo, in about a minute, you can change the ride height by several inches for when the grass is tall, or if your in a rougher non track area to drive in. Its just more versitle than track oriented.

I feel I am a decent track drver, and I can say I am about average when it comes to club racers. My eRevo can easily our perform my driving ability so for me it doesnt matter which truck I have on the track, Im just as good with either one.

Thogh I can use the eRevo more places and just have more fun with it when not at the track.

I have already been down the road of having expensive race application buggies, trucks and 4wds, that I would only be able to use at the track, and they werent nearly as fun for me.

If someone likes other monster trucks, insert EMaxx or Savage in place of the eRevo, as for purposes of the question the answers will all be about the same.

i highly doubt that most people put all kinds of aluminium parts on them so they are better on the track.

look at the mini t's, you see all kinds of peple with all kinds of cash stuck into "bling" and then they get smoked on the tracks by stock mini's. thats why you dont see all kinds of "trick" parts for truggys or buggys 1/10th or
1/8th.

ask people why they have 22 inch rims with low profile tires on there hummer an you will get you answer..

I am with you on this. Most MT guys just throw tons of money at their MTs to make then preform better and the outcome is a truggy. Why not just buy a truggy in the first place.

Just buy a truggy and keep your mt for bashing.I mean most tracks dont race mt but they all race truggy.Just seams kind of silly.Mt evolved into truggy so why make a mt to a truggy.A modified mt stands no chance on a track and will not be that great no matter how much money yo put in it.

You can do anything but make them better on the track.I still do not understand why u would try to make a mt perform well on a track.Hardly no one races mt any more.Truggys are what mt evolved into for racing.

from what i've read truggies are almost as capaple as MT's terrain wise for bashing, but not nearly as unstalbe, and uncontrollable, some people like the way mt's drive, you don't need to have the handling of an f1 car all the time sometimes its fun to ahve a big goofy truck to blast around with

That depends on where you live man, A modified MT will finish first in an MT class. I race buggy, but I will bring out the revo if enough interest is there. I honestly have kept my revo just to play around on my track with because I will not run the buggy out there.

I just don't understand the point of posting a thread like this, I mean if someone wants to upgrade their MT I don't see why that is such a mystery?

Just trying to understand thats all.Not tryn to piss people off.I used to race tmaxx way back and then they came out with truggys and it killed mt.I wish mt racing would come back strong again but not going to happen.BTW i could prob smoke most the trucks out there with a modded tmaxx with out putting alot of money in it.
