Just got 2 venom fireball mod motors 17t and plan to use them in a clod.
heard some bad things about them after purchasing them. gunna run em
anyway just wonder if anyone has any suggestions on better motors or how
to make these ones last, or if i really messed up already. plan on using 11.1
volt lipo batt, is that a melt down in the making?

I use two of those same motors in my Tamiya Wild Dagger and have not had any problems so far. They seem to be pretty quick and have some decent torque. I have about 2 dozen runs on them and I will probably rebuild them pretty soon. If you have a lathe I would keep them true and keep new brushes handy. Keeping the comm true and the brushes fresh will make your motors last a long time. As far as your battery, if your ESC can handle it I don't see why the motors couldn't keep up. Just make sure you run the appropriate gearing so you don't overheat them.
