Default tmaxx engine swap

am getting a tmaxx 2.5 roller this week and i have a .25 HPI motor.....i was wondering do i need to get new engine mounts, or should i be able to use the stock tmaxx mounts to set up my .25 hpi motor? i know the .25 is a larger engine so should i keep the mounts that are on my matrix(which has the hpi on it now) or can i modify the tmaxx mounts to fit this engine? HELP A BROTHER OUT TO GET

did adding the .25 to your tmaxx show noticable gains in speed and torque compared to the trx2.5?

if your putting a big block on your maxx then it i highly recommended to get the big block conversion kit. it has beefier bog bones and everything. it comes with and extended chassis to make up for the lost space of the big block.

oh yeah, the other thing that you will end up doing is frying your diffs, get the stronger ones on hand....you will pop them with the extra power

and go ahead and pony up for the Robinson racing harded almuminum and steel tranny gears. I had hell with the plastic ones after i converted my t-maxx to a big block.

And you do know that just sticking a big block in wont increase top speed right? It will deffinatly increase torque, but you will need to regear to take advantage of that torque, or else the big block will yield no results in the speed department.
