what did you use to extend your truck?

and how do you like those tires?

what wheels did you use?

I extended the wheelbase with Unlimited Engineering Racer-X suspension arms. The tires work well and get decent grip everywhere! What I really enjoy about it is the extra ground clearance, this thing just floats over rough terrain and thick grass. The rims are Proline line desperadoes, half inch offset with 17mm hex

I did have to up the diff fluid to 100k or more. I think filled the rear diff with some 100k and put a little 150k in there too.

you might need to get the 17mm hex adapters depending on which ones u get. your drivetrain will need to be upgraded to the new style

there is a truck you can use so thet you don't need to get all new axle carriers.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/17mm-aluminu...item48644bc66c they just replace the old ones (if you don't already have)
the diffs are a mist to upgrade. they just drop right in. but you need the one with 4 screws.

as for the clutch, just go down 1-2 teeth on the bell and your good to go.

I just built a EMaxx from the ground up, film chassis, rpm all the way, stainless steel screws, trenchers and steel cvd's, and mmm2 brushless 2200 from castle. I just need some batteries and servos. I plan on running savox 0231 waterproof, making This truck fully waterproof, I see castle does not recommend operation while submerged.....all you bashers out there are there any concerns when running a "full waterproof" truck??

Lots of maintenance running in water. Bearings, screws, and every other metal part will rust. CVD pins will rust and cause breaking on the rust spots. I coated my Savage XS in WD-40 for winter running in the snow.

Dry your batteries and electronics immediately after use with compressed air and I used dielectric grease on my terminals to prevent corrosion. Also the fan on the MMM2 is not waterproof so make sure you remove it before getting the ESC wet.

My reason exactly for buying a Savage XS. My 2 MT4's, E-maxx, D8T-E, and Vorza monster buggy stay indoors on the shelf til it's warm and the sun shines

Default nice body for short maxx

for those who are looking for a nice body with a perfect fit the jconcepts ford raptor #jlo0084 is a great fit. this is made for a slash but it fits nice on the short 12 inch wheelbase maxx's the wheel wells are large and work perfect with large monster tires with no trimming. I would post a pic but I'm new here and they tell me I can't because I have not posted enough yet. how many do I need?

I didnt spend that much more for waterproof electronics, its so nice knowing when that truck goes thru a puddle that I'm insured not to fry anything. But also crossing creeks would be a joy to have

I just built and all most done EMaxx from the ground up, FastLane machine chassis (looks killer) rpm all the way and big bores, steel cvds. I also looked up how to shim the diff's and they needed that from what I bought off the shelf.

The motor fan works just like the mmm motor and doesn't plug into the ESC, so I'm assuming they don't recommend in water b.c of debris clogging up the motor
