CoastalTony: Man, I've got more questions for ya, as I have found out this weekend I can't race there with a .21 engine, so I've thought about the O.S. 15 CV-XR, since you run an O.S. 15Max on yours (truck), could you please tell me where you get all the mounting hardware & linkages or do you still use the stock stuff??????? I was then thinking if I get that engine to install the KHB E-Z start system, which is a direct fit for pull start engines to be used with the stock Traxxas E-Z starter!!! Thier web site is www.khbracing.com

Chris@weaponR ,
howdy New Jack I used the stock mounts & linkage. Be carefull with stock linkage I found out the hard way. I was the first at the track to run a T-Maxx. Remember I race on an asphalt on-road track. One day there was a large crowd of spectators watching, and I like to show off a little bit(hehehe) Anyway, while cutting the track down to size (going OVER the pvc, and curbs) (just having fun & jumping, making the crowd roar), my truck landed hard on the top of the body (not a problem, the truck usually bounces & rolls over):tire: This time, the impact jammed the throttle linkage down on the spur gear (not good) The spur gear & throttle linkage combo yanked the throttle WIDE open (worse) My truck was sitting up-side down, running full throttle, in 2nd gear:cry: :o #hi# Anyway, long story short If you use a rotary carb get a linkage reverse kit. Or better, put a slide carb on it, and get slide carb linkage I looked at the link you posted. They have a lot of cool stuff, but I still use the pull-start. One pull, and a well tuned engine fires right up:deathstar |
CoastalTony:Cool, thanks again!!!!!!!

what you guys think of the t-maxx conversion for the e-maxx, is it worth it?

:spidey:
I would leave the E & T's the way Traxxas built them. Any other opinions? It is a bit of work to do a swap, and the price of a used one does not justify the conversion |
I agree!!!!

damn ok i guess i gotta buy a t-maxx now too then...
is it possible to buy that conversion kit and then piece together a whole kit? |

New Jack
Good engine If you get an engine with a slide carb, I can get you a killer slide carb linkage kit fr your truck. |
CoastalTony: I'm not sure if it is available with a slide carb. :weird:  !!! I hope it does though, that's what I have on my MP 7.5 & XXX-NT engines!!!!!:D :D :D

CoastalTony: What type shaft engine is on the T-Maxx (haven't tore it down yet to find out), the reason I ask is because that engine I told you that I want is a Standard Shaft only!!! I hope it is not a Pilot Shaft engine!!!!! :weird:

New Jack
