I used that tekno kit, and it was pretty easy and fast
with MM and 9XL motor

I haven't gotten the right battery setup yet, but once I get that done it should fly

on one 7 cell pack, it's pretty slow (as to be expected)

well i think ive decided to go the money cheater route and build it with the tekno rc conversion. i was gonna get the fiego. which one is better? 7, 8, or 9? what is the difference in them? and how will they do with a mamba max esc and a 3s lipo pack?

i got the 9xl, its in the middle, nice power, and wheelies like crazy even with 12 cells
mm esc and 3s lipo will be ok if you have a balancer, you can get one at rc-m for $30 or so

i already have a lipo battery charger and balancer. i run lipo with my VXL in my e-maxx. how does the numbering go. is it just like a normal brushless. lower number is more speed and less torque? and i know the mamba will be fine, im talking about performance. will the motors still pull hard? i know some people run on 12 cells. but a 3s is equal to what 10 cells? so how would that do?

Hi streetracer745,

Go with the Feigao 8XL on 4s w/ Mamba Max ESC (use a BEC). It's the best bang for the buck by far. We've been running a similar setup for months with great results. If you're looking to set speed records, a 4 or 5s and a Neu 1515/1.5D will do the trick, but you'll need a more robust ESC to do that. The Feigao 8XL/4s/Mamba is a great starting point. Feel free to email us with any questions. Hope we're not too late on this one. Thanks.

Can someone please explain how to use the factory brake setup in conjunction with a brushless setup? I'm confused on how that is wired or setup on the radio.

well i had planned on getting the novak system. but then after running my emaxx some with a vxl and 3s. all i can say is its damn fast. it has the tires balloning like crazy and can flip over backwards wherever it can get traction. standing backflips. so im gonna use it in my revo and try it. if it doesnt satisfy, thats when ill end up with the hv maxx. if i had the hv maxx, id use twin 5000 2s maxamps. now im using a single 8000 3s maxamps.

up to 10 cell nimh. which is 12V, which will probly be slightly faster than a 3s lipo since it only makes 11.1V.lipoe or 10 cells, its balistic IMO. sure its not a feigao or neu or hv system, but for the price it is and the power it makes, i dont complain. its pretty damn amazing. it turns my badlands on my e-maxx into friggin saucers. tires baloon so much its crazy.
