What Diff Oil To Use!?

well, i havent been around here in a while...but, i have a tmaxx 3.3 that i recently exploded the front diff in...i'm going to be upgrading a few parts, and i'm wondering what wt oil i should use in the diff!?...i've read a couple places to just use regular axle grease, but i wasnt sure if that was the proper thing to do or not!?...any help would be appricaiated...thanks!

IF the diffs are similar to the Revo and sealed, I would use like 30k/10k or 50k/30k if they are not sealed, grease works fine, you just need to fill them occasionally as the diff oil will seep out much faster than the grease will.

that is what i'm not sure of...it seems like its just grease in there...BUT, its really hard to tell since are so many pieces of metal inside mine...i'm not sure what it was supposed to be...

there is a possibility you can use oil, just make sure to use a gasket, you will know fairly quickly, as it will leak out when you are running. Grease is a safe bet though. I use mobil 1 synthetic, but any good auto grease should work just fine.
