i have a feeling it would rub terribly. you would need the arms to be a lot wider. check out neweramodels.com . i knwo they make a widening kit, but its aluminum. you can also use losi arms i think. do a search on stampede widening kits and see what you pull up.

I've also bought some hex adaptors from speedtech to suit the stampede so i can use the 40 series rims for the T-maxx.

My question is, Will those wheels fit onto the standard stampede XL-5? Or will i need longer suspension arms?
I'm thinking maybe that the inside of the wheels will hit the suspension or body.

Any advice would be great thanks.
I'll be buying the Stampede in another 6 weeks time. I've got some big plans for it :)

Cheers
Alan.

We suggest using wheels with the 1/2" off-set from Proline. Those will not rub on the suspension components on the Stampede. Good luck with your Stampede Project :)

Ohh thank you Steve for that info, I actually got them from you on eBay:) I was stressing out that i wasted all that money on the rims and tyres :). I got the 1/2" offset rims from proline.

I'll keep you guys updated on how it all pans out. Will take a month or 2. Next thing i need to save up for is a mamba max brushless system and a nice fast servo.

Cheers
Alan.

nice. i have that same body. only mine is painted a lot different. what bearing kit did you get?

ChuckWick357 11-30-2007 03:57 PM

yeah it's hard for me to paint a loud design on a H2. it was almost yellow.
i did buy a kit for the bearings i had some left in my pit box that worked.

streetracer745 12-04-2007 06:37 PM

only thing you can do is batteries really. everything else is damn near bullet proof. get an extra set of axles maybe

thanks streetracer745- my upgrade was/is supposed to a 3s LiPo.
Got a site for axles? C'mon Santa!!!

Lipo. im gonna say maxamps. great product and amazing service. ive been emailing them today and i got 8 emails from him about everything in less than 2 hours. fast response and great stuff. as for parts. your LHS is the best place. support them and they will treat you right. i try not to order offline. i try to get everything there. they will probly match prices too. if you really need it, check towerhobbies.
