Default LST2e racer build thread

Hello,
I purchased a used LST2e on here and it was in excellent condition and added updated electronics and it was a beast on the track. I decided I want to take it to another level for this year.

items used: HW XR8 SCT pro with XT 90 connector, Leopard motors 4274/2000kv motor and a modified RC8B3 radio box

Before installation:

after installation:

Modified receiver box added.

3d printed battery tray has been mounted, we will see how it holds up. Found some Losi battery straps in my parts boxes.

Tried hide the wiring as much as possible. Might just rebuilt the front end to be ready when the final parts come in.

Honestly, that looks and sounds like you’re doing is an electric muggy… Do we search for team Losi muggy… And you may find some really cool ideas and insights

Didn’t want to do a complete muggy build as I might as well buy a truggy at that point. Wanted to keep the CoG a higher and keep a monster truck of sorts. It’s a build to run against my friends center diff racer maxx I built for him a few years ago. We have a mt race a few times during the summer. Should be fun when I done

Started on the front end while waiting for the link to come in.

same as the rear with HD skid plate, carbon fiber bulkhead plates, muggy towers and shocks and jconcepts light weight wheel nuts.
also Rpm arms all the way around

Before cleaning and diff rebuild

after diff rebuild with 30k and gear balm

hopefully get the link soon and bolt it all back together. Move on to the final wiring set up and finish with the tires and body. Hopefully get out to the track later this summer.

Finished the steering and bolted the front end on

I worked on the wire routing and decided to remove the leopard motor and ordered a Hobbywing v3 1900 kv motor for that full sensored feeling. I can use the combo in future projects if needed.

adding the transponder, spektrum sr215 receiver and bolting down the receiver box.

tires and body next

Tires and rims are from jconcepts. Reflex truggy tires in blue soft compound on white truggy rims.

body is also from jconcepts. Found a guy who had it NIP since they are discontinued.

Now all mounted up

after motor comes in final wiring and details will be finished.
