LST2e racer build thread
Hello,
I purchased a used LST2e on here and it was in excellent condition and added updated electronics and it was a beast on the track. I decided I want to take it to another level for this year. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...45e99f12b5.jpg as originally purchased |
So is started with the main chassis and transmission.
added the following: M3 center diff conversion, 3xle center diff, carbon main chassis, 3d printed battery tray for a shorty 4s or small 3s and spektrum s2680 servo before: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...f8734fc229.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...de1c32c5d3.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...05512a0f01.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...64f0cdf313.jpg after: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...e55c3f8c03.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...970f7588ba.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...198da28e6f.jpg still waiting on the BAC steering link to arrive and the main chassis is finished for now |
On to the rear end.
Added the following: carbon fiber top plate, JC 17mm lightened wheel nuts, rebuilt diff, TLE 8xe wing Already on the truck: DPP (?) brace and mugen wing mount, muggy towers and shocks, TLR HD rear skid plate before: https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8b2d4f50d6.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...fcb59474d3.jpg after: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a6566a7468.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...3ca958f391.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...7d2375969c.jpg |
All mounted up
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...1ca3b7bf66.jpg waiting on the steering link before I rebuild the front end and do electronics |
Looks really good!
|
While waiting for the steering link to come in, I decided to mount the electronics, Tekno extra hard 15t pinion and new receiver box
items used: HW XR8 SCT pro with XT 90 connector, Leopard motors 4274/2000kv motor and a modified RC8B3 radio box Before installation: https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...deb31fab2.jpeg after installation: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...acfadd084.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...04436d150.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...6595412bb.jpeg Modified receiver box added. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a0dfd5f89.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...4528f423a.jpeg next up is mounting the battery tray |
3d printed battery tray has been mounted, we will see how it holds up. Found some Losi battery straps in my parts boxes.
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...22301f936.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...09e9ba6ee.jpeg Tried hide the wiring as much as possible. Might just rebuilt the front end to be ready when the final parts come in. |
Honestly, that looks and sounds like you’re doing is an electric muggy… Do we search for team Losi muggy… And you may find some really cool ideas and insights
|
Didn’t want to do a complete muggy build as I might as well buy a truggy at that point. Wanted to keep the CoG a higher and keep a monster truck of sorts. It’s a build to run against my friends center diff racer maxx I built for him a few years ago. We have a mt race a few times during the summer. Should be fun when I done

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...c0c3409b8.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...24da0cf18.jpeg I worked on the wire routing and decided to remove the leopard motor and ordered a Hobbywing v3 1900 kv motor for that full sensored feeling. I can use the combo in future projects if needed. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...859c0ca76.jpeg adding the transponder, spektrum sr215 receiver and bolting down the receiver box. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8e2f6ff30.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...5b2f28e93.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...d91e15cf7.jpeg tires and body next |
