Doesn't look like the website is up, what are the rules on 1/8th E buggy?

Default Motodome

Is there a website for the motodome? I am looking to see if it's open for practice on the weekends before the off road series starts since I have not been there before.

Also, is the sportsman class strictly 8th scale? I would like to race with my son, but he only has a 10th scale 4wd buggy.

Thanks!

their really is NO actual track that is specifically set up for the cars to run on, generally what happens is the committee guys get together and build the track, then their is a few guys that are local that go over and water it on a regular basis before the race weekend and practice would be on friday of the race weekend, times would be determined by the tracks, as for your other question, he could run the 1/10 4x4 buggy with the 8th scale cars, as the way the rules read is that its a sportsman electric 2 wheel drive class and a sportsman 4 wheel drive class, however the sportman 4wd class has mainly nitro buggies and truggies and last year their was a couple of 4x4 sc trucks, but my opinion is they got worked over

any questions send me a PM or PM Jeff ford or Joezjr or Rider313 as we are on the committee and can answer most of the questions

so what kind of vehicle do you have to run

I have an Sworkz e350 that I am looking to run, but I like to run with my kids. I may have to spectate this year and see how the sportsman class looks.

Thanks for the info!

I would suggest that you run something this year, I am not much for a watching type and the sportsman 4x4 class has some heavy hitters in it, a large group of super fast kids and fast adults, a very good showing and my favorite class to watch is and marshal is the sportman 2wd class, when they say go, them drivers are gone and they are racing for the win, no matter what,

this should be a exciting year of racing and looking forward to meeting new people

I've heard the practice will start early afternoon Friday. Entry for nitro is 25 for first, 20 for second. Entry for electric and sportsman is 20 for first, 15 for second

I have to confirm with another member who gets there early on friday's. But my plan is to have doors open at noon and practice opens at 3pm and lasts till 10pm or until a committee member closes it. That gives guys 7 hours of possible track time. We will also have some 30 minute sections of time in there for 1/10 and sportsman only practice.

most of all the dirt work is done for the dome track, all that is left is getting the tubing down, it was a blast working on it again and special thanks to the guys who showed up and lent a hand

Also note that the scb class will be put with the pro2 class, so it is very possible that you could be racing with a full heat of either or none, AS ALL THE RULES STILL APPLY FOR THE SCB's, this is blinky esc, 10.5 motor limit, and a 5,000Mah battery pack or less and MUST BE 30c OR LESS, also eclipse tires or subcultures must be run

the above class will be watched to keep it fair as the pro2 trucks really don't have any major rules to adhere towards, but they have the parachute effect to deal with so that might make it more of a level playing field, but the rules can be modified after the first full race weekend if the committee deems it necessary.

I think they will put down some calcium at some point and time, with some water and what calcium that is already in the dirt it should groove up, as in october they where using a leaf blower to get some of the little marbles off and the dirt was actually taking alot of rubber, it should be fun and fast this year

Any tire recommendations for e-buggy? Will temps probably be in the 60s° inside?
