Default 2016 MNRC Schedule and Info

Here is our new 2016 MNRC series schedule. It will be scored Best 5 of 7 Rounds.
April 16-17 Motodome, Staples MN
May 21-22 Full Throttle Raceway, Foley MN
June 18-19 LooseNuts Raceway, North Branch MN
July 16-17 LSRCC, Duluth MN
August 20-21 LooseNuts Raceway, North Branch MN
September 17-18 LSRCC, Duluth MN
October 22-23 Motodome, Staples MN

New for 2016- We are proud to have Full Throttle Raceway back on our schedule! We have a new announcer since Joe Jr retired, his name is Lucas Duncan. He has great race directing experience and will be a good fit for our series. Jeff Ford has stepped down as Chairman of the series after many many years and Dan Williams was elected as the New MNRC Chairman for 2016 and beyond. Pro2 and SCB have been combined into one class, they will be scored as one.

Some of you may have noticed our website is down, we ran into many technical issues with that domain and are working out new solutions for a website home. So for all your MNRC updates please keep a eye on our FaceBook page.

Here is our class running order for 2016
1/8 Electric Buggy
2wd Sportsman
1/10 2wd Stock Buggy, Roar 17.5 motor and Blinky ESC.
1/8 Nitro Truggy
4wd Sportsman
Pro4
1/8 Nitro Buggy
Pro2/SCB

Thanks and see you all at the track!

I have been talking with a few people and they are looking forward to the series races this summer, should be another Great Year

now to decide on what classes to run again, as the pro2 vs the scb class seems to be the one most talked about, should be fun to watch

Is 4wd 1/10 buggy just not that popular for the outdoor folks?

a few years back their seemed enough to make a class out of them in the series, just it seemed to get smaller and smaller, then was combined with a class and then it disappeared, I think their is some indoor tracks that still run them, just not a popular class in the summer

Hey guys...
wasn't there a track called "field or dreams" ect...
He had water to run boats, rc Airplane runway, and a large rc off road track??
I never made it out there ... but wanted to...

Also.... Anyone have a 1/5 scale off road or on road rc track in MN?

Ricks hobby farm has all of that stuff. We used to go there but we had to cut them this year because their locals didn't support their own race. And I don't think there is any 5th scale racing in the state right now

Rieman Racing up in Milaca, MN has a 1/5th scale track along with a 1/10th scale track. He also has a pond nearby for boats.

He has a nice hobby shop as well. Very nice guy.

I forget about that guy. It's an awesome place. But if he gets his 5 guys franchise he's going to bulldoze a lot of the rc stuff and move it around

Word is, when the 5 guys paperwork goes through he's going to erect a 1:10th indoor at the same time. So that's probably the only thing that would get moved is the 1/10th outdoor track. If he has to move the 1/5th track I guarantee he'll have it done quickly, he likes to drive 1:5th scale himself.

For J Concepts tires.

In PRO4' Josh has liked DD's in Green and Lil Chasers in Green.
In 1/8, it's been Black Hybrids up till last fall, he liked the new Reflex in Black but I think the Triple D's in Black or green that just came out will be real good as they were good on all the track we tested them on but wore out test sets out by the fall dome race.
