His car is much lighter now. I gave him a bunch of my two wheel stuff since moving over to Four Wheel

Well it looks like I'll just have tires with no wheels when Wednesday rolls around, so I won't make it to race. The next Wednesday I should be ready though!

I just bought an XB4, I won't be there tomorrow because I am waiting for parts to come for the car still but I should be there next Wednesday. I won't be racing weekends during the summer because I will be racing other places outdoors. I haven't raced electric since back when we had to build battery packs and the motors had brushes in them. I am going to need a lot of help getting up and running! Anyone willing to teach an old dog new tricks?

Awesome! I am really looking forward to it. I am probably going to swing by this evening after work just to spectate.

Wish I was going! I need a set of slash 2wd wheels though since mine are still in the mail... Too bad we can't run 1/8 e-buggy. I'd love to test the 8.2e out on the track.

Edit: Would I be able to run 1/8 e-buggy during practice time just for fun, or no?

Gah! Oh well, it's ok. Next time.

I occupied myself with my new radio and receivers anyway. Got a Futaba 3PL to replace my Flysky junk and it's much nicer. It has some functions I don't even know where to begin with lol.

Assuming I don't break a bunch of stuff at the No Limit RC MD race on Saturday, I'll definitely be there this coming Wednesday to mix it up with everyone in the SCT class. With a quality radio and new tires that actually grip the track I might even be able to keep up. (I'm being optimistic here...)

Just to keep myself busy until then, does anyone play with ESC punch control, drag brakes, or maximum brake settings? How about the oddball radio stuff like ABS or exponential throttle/steering?

Yes.

Your best bet is to look on line for set ups of the esc that you have. There should be base setups posted on their web site or here on RCtech. And then Pick one feature at a time and practice with it, make small changes and go from there. It's much easier to explain in person so just ask for help while your at the track!
