I use an RC10b6 wing mount. You just have to drill 4 holes in the rear tower to mount it. It's solid as because it uses normal screws and buttons to mount the wing.

You can also just use 1.5mm screws as they are just big enough to repair the threads perfectly.

The rear diff screws were backing out on me a lot. It lead to the gears getting damaged. Tom from ThumbRC sent me a free replacement diff and housing and told me that the latest batch of truggies had this issue. He recommended I use tire glue, aka CA glue, on the screws to fix it.

The wing mount threads were also stripped. I put a little bit of red loc rite on the beginning of the thread of the screw. That way the part with loc Tite doesn't thread into the plastic and eat away at it, but it goes into the shock tower and holds the screw in place. I'll be testing that soon. If this doesn't work then maybe CA glue will be a viable option.

I'm also going to get tbone's rear bumper and wheelie bar which should help protect the wing and wing mount. Also for smoothing out rear landings, + it'll make the truggy look aggressive. I already have the front bumper installed, it protects a lot and looks great.

I've noticed that a lot of the screws just keep spinning, they don't really get tight, like if the plastic threads were stripped. The rear diff housing screws, mount screws, chassis brace screws, etc. all feel like they thread into stripped plastic. Has anyone noticed this with their truggy?

The plastics are very soft. You need to be very careful threading things in. It will never get tight, just snug and then strip.

This.

I wouldn't waste the effort EbbTide.

Drill 4 holes and zip tie it down.

I am using Hobbyking Ti screws. If you start with a fresh bulkhead, you can use them to bolt on the front shock tower too.

Would you mind linking the screws? I'm having trouble finding them on the HK website like a noob lol. I do have a fresh kit to build so I definitely want these from the get-go. Thanks for the response!

You used one of those for the diffs? 2mm isn't too big?

Nope. Wing mounts and front shock tower. They also can be used in the side guards.

RPM rod ends came today (RPM73375) and honestly, they are horrible! Never had problems with rods popping off the ball studs and today, pop pop pop.

Why is everybody recommending them? Or I need to change also the ball studs? Never have had bigger fear that I'll end in a race even from small impact than today.
