Here it is folks. After some great work from the team this is the layout that will haunt you until Oct. 11th.
Please post comments (NOT COMPLAINTS) as we are still open to making changes in certain areas.
Arch2b & others: We need 5 more checkered straight sections for the grid. Please bring them if you can.
See you all soon,
Russ

Russ - the one thing i would change, is offset the chicane in the part of the picture thats at the bottom part of the track so that you can't straight-line it. other than that me likey

We designed it not to be a straight race line. If you come on Friday (10/10) you can get a closer look and realize that for 1/18th it ain't going to be easy. Remember these foam barriers grab wheels they don't deflect.
In fact if you have the balls to keep it full throttle through that section and make it clean for more than 3 consecutive laps I will buy you a beer (wait, a soda)
I can tell you that the rythm section and hairpin/carousel are a blast to drive. The race lines are all non-intuitive and will test even the best drivers.
See you soon,

I believe it, ive just always thought that a chicane that you can blast right through is pointless. I would just rather see a section where you actually have to check up, instead of having the option of going balls out. If you move the left hand part of it 1 tile over i think it would be a lot more intresting it would make it a better passing spot too
I'll be there on friday def.
ps I like vanilla coke
edit: just out of curiosity, are you running the track the normal clockwise direction, or are we going lefty? the position of the starting line and the grid is why i ask. if its clockwise, generally the tq prefers the inside

Total agreement, and if you win your vanilla coke (which is lame) then we can tighten it up a little.
We ONLY run clockwise here at NCRC and have both left and right turns
