Arrow Charity Race Registration Now Open

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let everyone who is interested that we will be updating our website (www.ncrcracing.com) in the next couple of days. Details for the charity race and registration form will be there.

In addition to that we will also be dropping off registration forms at local hobby shops in the Baltimore/DC area over the weekend and some RadioShacks in Howard and Arundel counties (local) for those XMOD drivers.

Should you have any questions you can post them here or email me directly.

More sponsors are pooring in (e.g. Kyosho and RC Car Action are the latest)

Hope to see your entry and we are looking forward to a great event.

Keep the rubber side down,
NCRC

Smile UPDATED

The website is finally updated. Contains all the basics (categories, times, etc) and details on our last season in the Results section.

Hope to see everyone there and looking forward to giving some lucky driver an autographed Cal Ripken Jr. jersey.

Cheers!

Hey Russ - are foam tires going to be allowed in all classes or just the mod class??

Looked at the info on your site and it didn't say what classes were or weren't allowed to run foams

I'm in for Stock MR02, AWD and F1

Yes, yes, and yes.

Foam tires are allowed for ALL categories. Just no traction compound. I find that the Gandini tires work great on this surface. As for tire selection, if you don't have RCP experience then I would bring plenty of tires and springs. The track has a moderate amount of traction but I would say still less than carpet.

1/18 Stock is:
5 cells and a 180 motor

Gee - I was hoping that your whole 1/18 crew will come down that weekend. Underhill mentioned that it could be possible. And yes, Gary's Mini-Z is as fast as his Mini Cooper.

EVERYONE
PLEASE pre-register if you can. We are concerned that we will fill up becuase we only have space for about ~70 dirvers but if it looks like more are going to show up then we can change things around and find more pit space.

Thanks,
NCRC

Russell - what is the cost for any additional core transponders? If I run 3 classes, I'd need 2 more

Already planning on making the trip

We are planning to provide 1 transponde per car. So if you are competing in 3 classes, then you will get 3 transponders for a total entry fee of $50 ($30 + $10 +$10). It is a huge of help if everyone pre-registers(www.ncrcracing.com) so we make sure we have enough transponders.

Am I reading this right?... "Any 180 motor" ? So I'm guessing that as long as it's in a 180 can, it's legal right?

Looking forward to it! Not sure how many of my tribe are gonna make it, but I know I'll be there.

(looks like I'm gonna have to get those new cells for the M18 a little sooner than I thought! )

Oh... and we are always down for F1 so I'm sure we'll be past the 6 pre-registered deal.

So far, it looks like I'll be running Stock MiniZ, F1 MiniZ, and definitely M18.

I'm in for at least MR02 stock and F1 - might have to see if I can get the AWD together and "tested" in time

Arrow More Info.

imxlr8ed - You're right. We'll be busy with all the categories. If it looks like a huge turnout then we will have to go with just 2 heats.

The RCP will be 3 wide in some areas for passing and high speed fun.

Regarding the 180 motor: It is meant to be the std brushed silver can stock 180 motor - no BB, no brushless. I'll talk it over with everyone here and confirm tomorrow.

For those who just want to watch you are welcome to come.

hey russ, i think imxlr8ed was asking more of a specific brand motor, because there are definately some that are faster than others(ive yet to see a bb 180 motor so that shouldnt be an issue).
