What brand of shocks are they? They should have included the correct mounting hardware if they were designed for the Slider.

I too recently purchased the Losi brand aluminum hopup shocks and the upper attachments do not fit on the stock ball studs. I have serached for a few hours now online and cannot find any results. The package did not include the necessary parts to install these shocks.

EDIT: I take that back. The package has some screws with plastic spacers in it that apparently go in place of the ball studs. Hopfully this solves Lostinbaja's problem.

My Losi shocks didn't come with any hardware, just the shocks. I made some plastic bushings to fit in the shocks from some stock I purchased at the LHS and they fit great.
I wish Losi would at least point the customers in the right direction when they sell them parts for a specific vehicle and they don't fit without extra fabrication.

Losi Mini Slider!

If anybody has a mini slider, come chat about it here!!! I would love any tips or hints!

Actually, there's already a Slider thread, so I merged yours with it. We really don't need a dozen threads on the same subject....:sneaky:

Hopups

What hopups are there besides cvds and springs and turnbuckles. I want a carbon fiber chassis and other aluminum stuff like suspension mounts

We are starting to run the 1/18 sprinters down here and I've read the thread but was wondering...we are only using brushed motors until the class gets rolling. I've read the original motors don't last too long. My question is, what brushed motor would you guys move up to for a replacement until we start using brushless?

mudguppydave 08-03-2011 04:44 PM

i have used the venom fireball and the associated 370 motor. they are a bigger can than the stock motor. dave w.

I believe the venom motors are around $9 each or 3 for $23 at Tower.

This is the latest thread I could find on the Losi mini sprint. I am considering get one as a Christmas present to my self. About how much run time do you get on the stock battery running hard? Are they durable? I read somewhere you can get bigger MAH battery. What is the biggest one you can get and where. I seen some where they have a burshless kit for it.

If I get one I will be running it on my mini Z track but of coarse I will set it up as a oval. In the pictured is only about 2/3 of the track as right now I do not have any where inside to set the whole thing up.

The cars last about 10 minutes racing or so, they are pretty fast, your track might be rather small for a mini sprint or mini slider. Any 1/18 brushless system will work and the battery compartment on the sprint fits a decent size lipo, larger then the slider. I'm sure you can find one under $100 on eBay new. Good luck and have fun, they are a blast to drive if you can get 3 or more people together.

That is not all my track and I can change the configuration. For now I will be racing the clock. I will all so take it to the dirt oval in brooks where I run my 1/5 scale which will be BIG for the mini sprint. They run all scales there.

I went ahead and ordered one. Even thaw I have a good radio I got the RTR because it was cheaper then the BD. Cost me just under $90 shipped.

nrtv20 12-16-2011 05:54 AM

That is a good price; was it the sprint or slideR?

It is the mini sprint part number LOSB0206 NOT the slider. Been reading about them for about a month and from what I have read the new mini sprint is better then the older slider. They are going fairly cheap on eBay right now. I found a seller I have dealt with for years that is not going to stock them any more and trying to sell what he has. Cost me $89.84 shipped.
