Default RC18T, Tips for Removing Drivetrain Play/Slop?

I noticed there's a decent amount of play in the drivetrain, do any of you have any tips for reducing this? It moves about 63mm back-n-forth until it starts to move the Spur/Pinion, seems like a fairly large amount, no?

63mm? Something is fundamentally wrong if thats the case. Should be on the order of 1-5mm max.

Well for one, I'm certain now that the way I took the measurement was completely incorrect... 63mm is A LOT. If I can go back, it's probably about a quarter of a inch that the car will roll back and fourth.
