EDIT: No replies necessary, so I've edited the initial post. After input from others, elsewhere, the "final answer" has been provided.

The "final answer" was 'neither'. For the GTR, it, evidentially, has 'problems'...which, while fixable, cost more to fix than they're worth. As for GL Racing kits, quality is good, but upgrading them to be truly race-worth costs way to much. Better options are Reflex Racing RX28 (especially the RX28SE), RTRC RTA V2, MWX R.1, and several options from Atomic (especially the recently released MRX).

Same, more or less. I tried out the GL Racing line first, given everyone was raving about them - I found out the car has lots of issues. Squirrley handling with that oddball triangular damper setup and sometimes just wouldn't hold a straight line. It needed Reflex's triple conversion (now discontinued), the brass chassis and a much-needed aluminum bellcrank servo saver, seeing as the plastic one develops excessive slop. The lower front arm ball joint socket also wears out too quickly, leading to seperation at the worst possible times. If I had to do it again, I'd go either reflex racing or atomic. Nice car on low speeds, but when you open the taps fully to hit really fast speeds, it's just Chinesium and makes you look like a mess.
