first let me introduce myself... My name is Patrice .. you can say Pat. i,m 46. i live in trois-rivieres, quebec canada, basically i.m a french speaking person so please forgive some lexical english writing error that i.ll make on my future post.. i got my first miniz 2 years ago ..a simple mr03s styock that i have updated since it become a real monster aluminium part bearing ball diff ans changing the circuit for a ve one and put the red motor in it after try the 12000 kv grey one that was a bit to powerful for my driver talent ;). after that the mania begin and now i got 5 miniz. the fifth one will not be on challenge cause its a formula. got 2 back ordered chassis that i.m waiting for so long... one mr03 evo and a buggy ve. hope that will be on my racing team soon
i'm member on a few french fb page dedicated to miniz i'll share the forum on it to get some other racer ... i really found that idea good and that let me use more my mini96.

again i'm not the faster and better driver but like all of you i'm here for fun.

like i said earlier i.ll drive 4 car in 3 class for that challenge. look in attachement for the pdf with the config

Zed,
Good to have you with us. I do not run at a club track (yet) but I do a lot of running here at home and I have to say that having some markers to run against has made me much faster even in this first installment.

What are you running for an open car? It would be nice to have some diversity.

Cheers,
Jim

first... let me introduce myself... my name's Patrice, i'm from trois-rivieres, quebec, canada a little town between quebec city and montreal. has you can see i'm a french canadian... so apologise for my english lexical error that i'll make for sure in this and future post ;)
i'm 46 got a girlfriend and a 5years old little boy that i wait to be able to drive some Miniz with me :)
I've got my first miniz sept 2016. since then i became maniac so 4 more were added to the racing team. the last one was a dreamed formula 1 miniz who will get the ferrari body soon with a mini96 cause i can,t be allday long at the hobby passions racing track we got here in town.
that why i found the challenge very attractive.
to answer your question my 2 open will be for the 2wd the one i,ve lovely named hardtuned... why... the start with a stock mr03s wich has been updated with bearing... ball diff... mm alu motor mount and last year one new ve electronic et a 12000kv motor ( the gray one in the ve pro gp) that motor being too fast for the track i've change it for a less fast ... so i put the red one 8500kv.
the second open will be the awd ve pro originaly a drift car but i'va put 20 degree on front and 30 degree tire rear and it run pretty well. get somr alu bone and ball diff for it but didnt had install it yet.

the 2 other will be pro stock. the first one will be an mr03s with ball diff and bearing equipped with the xspeed brushed motor. in 94 mm
the second one will ben my mr03vepro with the brushledd motor 5600 kv ( the blue one).

all my car are from kyosho and all the upgraded parts from kyosho too

that all for here i'll will introduce myself on the main section on the forum and surely post photo and video of my cars and races.

Welcome Patrice. I’m 45 yrs old and married with three girls. Only one is still at home. I’ve just started collecting my minis this year. I’m up to three Mini Z and two GL cars. We will be competing against each other in a few classes. Good luck a glad to have more drivers participating.

Sweet.....Good to have you on board.

Looking like we are already picking up some new drivers which is awesome.

Sorry, I can't help with the timing system, I am just using a iPhone app.

Cheers,
Jim

Laptracker is not on Android unfortunately.

Take a look at Post #1 in this thread, while I have never used them there are some suggestions for Android users.

Cheers,
Jim

Like ET said you will be able to post pictures once you have 20(?) posts I believe.

I just pulled the trigger and ordered a Box Stock car. Ended up going with the Mclaren F1 GTR and then bough a C9 White Body to round out my Group C cars ;-). I started painting my 458 body this week and plan to run that body on this car.

Not sure I will get to run this weekend but I should be able to run next weekend, I am needing some track time.bad ;-) Next weekend is Le Mans so kind of hoping for rain so I do not feel bad hanging inside on the weekend.

Cheers,
Jim
