Over here in Europe you can get those bodies in a wide range of molded in colors, saves the weight of paint, mine is violet

Yeah, my green one is like that, and I dig that violet one too!
As for running with the chopped top, It's much faster and more stable in the fast turns! I was able to bump up my throttle d/r from 80% to 88% and drop 2 tenths in lap times before it started traction rolling in the high speed 90 off the straight again. I'm going to play with wheel diameter and offset, then tires to see what it will do. I will get another Jomurema or 2 when I get the funds, but I'm thinking a R8, probably a Silver Horse RC, first.

Hi Guy's, I have an hypothetical question for the Box Stock Class. Can a MR-04 that come with the MM motor mount (no damper) be used in box stock, if the board was swap with an ASF one and using a stock brush motor?
Was thinking about that since I really like the feeling of the stock front end of the MR-04... (Don't even know if the board swap is even possible?)

CrazyRonny, Traveler2 will have to weigh in on the 04 in BoxStock or not with a swapped ReadySet board, but on the swap to a 03 board, I have seen a 04 board in a 03 chassis with 04 top plate online. So I would ASSuME going to an 03 board in an 04 chassis should just require the board and an 03 top plate. But again I saw it online not in person, so take the info with a grain of salt!

Hi All! Last week i was able to buy a used track and started practicing.
Starting with 75 laps and a time of 12+ minutes i was able to get it down to 7:20 this afternoon. A few wall bounces but a lot more consistent overall.
I hope to get more consistent and make less bounces in the next few weeks.
Next month i will probably try to join another class as well with my MR03evo or MR04.
Currently im using laptrax on my phone, but that is missing some laps once in a while. I do have a timing system but dont have a windows laptop yet (And cant find any timing software for linux).

The MR-04 chassis should be legal in Box Stock as long as it does not include the EVO board and disk damper system and includes a stock brushed motor and complies with the other rules. As far as whether an MR-03 board will fit in an MR-04 chassis, I can't say as I don't have an MR-04.

I'm sorry to report that I was not able to get any runs in this month, so I'll be skipping June time posts. :-( Life is a bit crazy for the next couple months; I hope to get some runs in for July & August, (fingers crossed).

Default Taking a Step Back

I took over running this challenge from LJH three years ago after participating in it for a couple of years, so its time to hand over the reigns to someone else. I still plan to run and submit times, but need to step back a little bit, as it has started to feel like a chore. Luckily Poor_Boy aka David Krinard has agreed to take over for a while. Drive fast and keep the shiny side up!
