Notes- First time posting to the challenge. These tight 30cm tracks lead to so many mistakes on my part. Hope to improve in the coming months. MRZ is also new and I am still dialing it in, but loving it so far.
Next month I will post for box stock and my pn2.5 chassis as well. Ran out of time.

Question - How can I post photos? Says I have not posted enough (first post) so I cant upload! :(

Welcome to the challenge! Learning to drive on the tight 30cm track made me a MUCH better driver on the larger tracks, so keep at it. I think you'll like it more with the slower box stock and stock cars too. I'd also recommend a larger pinion on your open 2wd. You might be getting too much wheel spin with the 7t and all that power.

As for pictures, the system won't let you post any until you've reached 10 or 12 posts. Once you get that ability, you can edit your earlier posts and add the pics if you care to. There is also a FaceBook group that you can post them in if you'd like. But you don't have to worry about posting pics until you have the ability to do so...

How some of you are running sub 4 seconds laps with a box stock is beyond me. I have had laps were I feel I have given as much throttle as possible and been on every mark and still can't do it.

FTM goes to me in my Stock car with a 3.16 fast lap! Those RTRC rims/sidewalls are the ticket!

If anyone was late, please post up and I will update the results. Because I have some posting on RCTech and others on Facebook, I'm listing handle/name to more easily identify racers across the platforms. If anyone objects, please let me know. Also please check my tabulations and let me know if I made any mistakes or missed anyone.

Cheers,
Traveler2

On a tight layout like this month I am only using full throttle on the straight away. It is much more about the shortest route around the track and a tight line between and in the corners. Going just a little wide in a corner will hurt your lap times. My fastest laps are usually when I feel like I am going the slowest.

Tires are also very important. I could never get on the pace with the Kyosho tires (I know others have made them work). If your track is new it takes months of laps before the traction comes up enough to turn really fast laps,

Keep an eye on the bearings to make sure they are free spinning and nothing is adding friction to the drivetrain.

Thanks for the welcome. I will post the pictures once I can.

Definitely have some spin outs on corners related to power. The car with the 4500 is a lot on this track, but its just so nice. So just need to manage it. I already have played with throttle speed and travel, messing with tires for the most grip (such as the 14mm), and swapped out the diff to the MC3. I even added the spoiler to my 483 body because I swear that helped with the rear traction.

Do you clean your track with water or anything to keep the traction up?

The drivetrain is checked on a regular basis and it's free.

I clean my track with water and a rag. I probably clean mine once a week but if your track is newer I would probably clean it often. I also clean my tires with rubbing alcohol every few runs.

Is there a new layout this month? NOT trying to pester, as I am playing with the track designer from Zround and made a layout as close as I could to the Chicago Street Course Nascar ran last weekend, I'm just making sure I'm not missing it.
Thanks and Glad to see chjosi and WELCOME realwizer!!!
