Formula 1 recommendations and rules
#1
Hello I am interested in running some formula 1 this winter as soon as you guys find a place. I use to race on road at trackside when they had the carpet and am missing the on road action. What is required for the f1 class and what recommendations would you guys make for chassis, tires, upgrades, body, parts, etc?? Also how do you run your f1 races? I have seen uf1 with pit stops and everything or are you just running it like a typical onroad race with 5 min heats?

UF1 width of 190mm max front and rear with the wheels and tires on the car, front camber adjusted. F104 width rubber tires front and rear. Sliding Kingpin front end with upper arms under the body: no 12th scale front ends, no IFS in the rules at the moment.

It's F1 in the US. Everyone is F104 dimensions now. Is it better, not really. But it is popular and the mfgs are selling kits. Are F103 discouraged. No, just shelved due to popularity. I have 4 F103s and they are pretty much shelf queens. I would check with the national scene if you want more information, especially the UF1 series.
