I race at trackside so non of my cars have anything on the bottom cept the aluminum and carbon fiber chassis.
All classes are 'mod'

SCT/buggy are 2wd rubber tire
ST is 2wd foam tire
ultimate buggy is 2wd, 4wd, rubber or foam tire.

Foam ST is the biggest class 2-3 heats
buggy/U-buggy/SCT all have 1-2 heats

Chassis protector: ducktape/etc to cover the screws in the front bulkhead and rear t-plate area.

Buggies must have some sort of guard over their front shocks. Some have wrapped them in duck tape, some use some scrap lexan, I used part of a soda bottle.

Ok, what about shock guards on the B44. It's shocks are on the back side of the shock tower so they aren't exposed like they are on the 22 and the B4.

Still need one, CF can do just as much damage as a metal screw.

Ok, making shock guards really isn't that difficult, just needed to know if I had to do it to the wheeler too.

I've been using a cut up 20oz soda bottle since the beginning of the season. The natural curve of it keeps it tight around the shock tower.

And they're cheap...

Got a picture of that? How do you attach it to the shock tower?

No pics, sorry.

on the b44 I would attach it to the screws holding the tower to the bulk head, the curve of the bottle would fold it up and over the shocks.

for the B4, I would use the shock mounting screws in front to attache it to the tower.

There was a pile of scrap Lexan by the bulletin boards to be used as shock tower guards. I'm not sure if its still there? I'm sure you could fashion up something easily and quickly once you see some in person.

I used a 5-40 screw in an empty hole of the upper shock mounting locations to hold the tower cover on.

What time are we doing setup Wednesday? I'm sure some of us have the day off for the holiday, would anyone with a key be willing to get there early for setup and would others want to get there early?

Couple weeks ago at the drivers meeting there was talk of running a race program around News Years. Is that happening or a dead issue?
