Please remember guys when talking to possible landlords - It would be preferred to rent the space for the entire month, rather than just certain days of the week. If it must be certain days of the week it MUST include onroad, offroad and Practice day(s). But, I would strongly suggest staying away from referring to anything but renting the space for the entire month , leaving us the ability to go in and out and change schedules as we wish.

Bob you are doing a good thing. Don't be discourage yet. Talk to your cousin and get the deal line up if you can. If I remember correctly that place was great. The owner didn't care how many days we were open.

It would be nice to line up a building or few buildings before the next board meeting so a decisive decision can be made.

Thanks Vue,
I left a message with my cousin to talk to the guy.
When I was told about the space 3 weeks ago I was told he has 2 spots and the other one would most likely rent out Faster than the one You, Stan and a few others might remember.
I'm guessing a few Board members should meet the guy and look at the space.
I have no Idea who is on the board that was why I posted here to begin with.
So... Whom ever is on the board and would like to get this going please let me know.

Bob I'm serving on the board current. I will meet the owner and look at the place if you can setup a time or just get the contact information to me. I'm sure I can drag Stan along as well. I will be out of town this Saturday but any other time is good for me.

good work bob,

i also spoke to someone in verona today. the property is on commerce parkway.

i am giving the person i talked to a week or so to speak with the actual owner. the talk i had was very positive, and the space is very nice, it is however warehouse, so there are high ceilings and open spans....

this is a promising place, and the guy i spoke to is a drag racer, and the company who owns the place is an old Verona business that is somewhat charitable....

Also remember to think about utilities being included in the price paid. That is where the number of days the track is being used vs the price paid comes in. 30 full days of heat in February doesn't cost the same as 8 and may affect the rental price with some landlords.

Shoot for the stars but realize that we are at the mercy of our more than generous landlords. Commercial real estate is a complex business with many tax and future earnings issues to be considered.

I did hear from Davis Blust about a space off Stoughton Rd. I am waiting to hear back about a meet time.

Travis and I are going to be at 1922 S Stoughton Rd at 12:30 to look at a new indoor track site. I am thinking of opening the current track this Saturday as Clark will likely be rained out. If any offroad racer has not recieved any emails about the indoor track opening on Clark rainouts let me know at [email protected].

boards have been too quiet too long. Wondering what the story is for the indoor track. I knew we looked at another site and heard that we were maybe moving soon? Anybody know?
