just gotta say how excited I am still to win my first race and actually getting tq and placing 1st in 3 out of 4 in a new class. I realized after the 2cd qualifier I missed the scoring loop on a lap or it could have been 4 for 4
for me the slash class is where I belong

Congrats on the win Mike. Your slash runs as good as it looks. Good job at the wheel.

The Gone Bananas Racing skin'z definitely hookup much better than the stock rubber tires. Rick does an excellent job with all our foam tire needs. (shameless plug for a guy who does so much for our hobby).

Are the Rustler rims smaller than the slash? Whats the difference?

Alex drove my slash last night and did an excellent job with it. He is a pretty good driver considering who taught him.

Next week I will be back at the wheel of my slash with a 13.5 brushless in it running stock rubber tires.

If we can get one or two more slash running we can set some rules soon. We are still in the experimental stage of finding out what works well for the long haul for durability and low cost.

In my opinion we do not want the slash class to become a chase for extreme speed like the supertruxx. If you want to go that fast then enter supertruxx and pay the price to compete there. On the other hand ... given the tracks we have and the performance of the Titan motor I vote to have some type of motor upgrade that includes some wind of brushless. Maybe a 19 turn brushed or 13.5 motor limit? Any other ideas? I am amazed that we have not picked up any more slash racers from outside our club yet. Gotta find a way to make the class grow. I would love to see 8 of them on the track at once.

Whenever the 6 or so of us want to sit down and set some rules I will be glad to. Everyone who runs one gets a say. The sooner we do this the more racers we might get.

Jeff

Wer'e in about the same boat you are (learning stage) with the slash at CCX. We had 5 this week and I think each time you add one it's that much more fun. When we get some dates for the shootout and all of us are together it should be a great time. Currently we are all stock except rx and pt some fluid changes, hole possistions, the little stuff. I would trade any of the other guys slash for slash it seems that close. My hope is to keep this going so the guys will race in the summer as well since they don't care for nitro. Just thought I'd chime in for an update not that it matters with your own rules.

rustler foams are what Keith and Jason are running. a little wider and shorter. the slash foams are stock slash wheels with Rick's foams.

I did take a little time running Jasons vxl powered slash. It handels diffrent than mine but the power makes it harder to control. if we can find a setup that would keep all 4 wheels on the ground, slashes would hold there own in the open class if need be.

I won't be down there this sat(work) but I will be there thurday for a jingel bell bash what time do the doors open?

FWIW, after digesting it a bit, I don't have a problem with a non-stock motor for longevity purposes.... 13.5 or 19T would be a good limit.

Who TQ/won Open and Supertrucks?

The way the snow is going I don't know if I'll ever make it there again, this is rediculous.

The marcca website is down... AGAIN. I don't know what the issue is but it's annoying. It's always up and down for me constantly.

I have alerted Hotrod to the Marcca website issues.

I believe that Darryl had the TQ and win in the open class this week. Josh Stough ran with us this week and took TQ and the win in supertrux.

Lots of good racing in every class. Great turnout again even with the holidays and snow. 35 entries I believe.

Keep pushing that snow higher Bill. I think we might get some more yet this year.

Hopefully you can make it to the track soon Bill. As director of competition we would love to have you help us set some slash rules in the near future.
