Track is dry enough, we will run a race program on Sunday. The 26th.
Got a new motor in the monster truck.
The track is very off road after the rain, Monster off road.

This comming weekend is full of Great outdoor racing opportunities.
Saturday the Fall Flameout at the NitroFarm in Jefferson will be going on.
Sunday is the last stop for the Midwest Nitrocross series at The Rockpile.
If you have not made it out to the Rockpile this year you will be in for a treat.
The Rockpile's layout was fun but Brian made a couple of improving changes about 3 weeks ago and increased the fun and maintained some technicality yet increased places to overtake.
Through the slight changes he lengthened the run line and slowed lap times.
Before the changes-Fast 1/8 and Truggys got 10 laps(Josh S. and Billy E.-11 laps) After the changes 9 laps is moving fast 10 would be impressive if someone does it!
Old Fast laps=28 sec. New Fast laps=35 sec.
So If you still got the bug to race outdoors you have 2 very good options this weekend or go nuts and race at both The NitroFarm Saturday and The Rockpile on Sunday.
See you at the Track.

And somebody show up with some Gas Trucks on Sunday, I'm getting bored running with (and getting run over by) the Monster Trucks!

Wow! You mean to tell me the 10th scale trucks have been running with the MT's?

Have to get my glasses checked.

All this time I just thought it was a rough track

That's one of the reasons why I plunked down some $40 on a 4130 chromoly rollcage

It's strange though, at some tracks this year the MT's have clearly had the upper hand, but at Leisure Hours on the 16th I ran away with the show no problem. Dunno if it was breakdowns in the rest of the field (there was a point where it got real quiet for about a lap) or if something about the track favored Gas Trucks.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Pile this weekend, place always puts on one helluva show

Looking forward to seeing everybody for the Midwest Nitrocross Finale on Sunday...and I just looked at the weather and apparently the bad weather is SUPPOSED to hold off until LATE Sunday afternoon...after 6pm or so. It's gonna get windy in the early afternoon, but the rain should hold off until after we're all on our way home.

I want to point out the fact the I had a great time at the Rockpile today. Racing was competitive and the layout was fun. The new double jump near the front is awesome. Bob, you did a great job keeping things rolling. In hind site, it would've been better to run a 15 minute main in buggy. Ha Ha!! Running in the dark was a memorable experience. What a blast to cap off the summer with something out of the ordinary. (In a good way) :-)
