i've heard about the Compagnucci cars and they are powered by a 2-stroke gasoline powered engine, kind of a smaller zenoah-type engine. They said that these can be pull started or bump started. i can not attest to the durability of the cars and how they handle. there is a long thread of the car in rc universe that i thought was going to be big but eventually died down.

i still prefer the bigger scale with gasoline engines.
