pros & cons: on-road racing would require a permanent and well paved track fit for 1/5 scale (w/c does not exist at present) and on-road racing is hard on tires which are very expensive. off-road racing is tire friendly and its racetrack is easier to construct/maintain, existing off-road racetracks can accomodate 4 big scale at time, that is if its okay with the administrator.

Please post your preference, it will surely help us decide which category to focus on.

I would suggest that you gather the people who have large scale cars and trucks and meet to see how big the existing crowd is. Then, you can start racing/bashing and that would surely invite a lot of interest from other r/c hobbyists. Once people start to realize how easy it is to run the large scale r/c's they would start to get their hands on them.

When you run nitro, you will have to tune the engine at least 3 times in one day of racing, once in the morning, once during high noon and once in the afternoon.

With the zenoah engines, you tune the engine once and run it and tune when you change your fuel mixture or extreme change in season, from summer to winter. Cost of fuel is much more affordable too.

strongmaterial...I'l have to bring in the Monster Bug first and run it at existing off-road tracks for demo to get the attention of those who might want to get their hands on large scale, you're right about the nitty-gritty of running nitro against the zenoahs. If indeed there are large scale in this country it is either gathering dust or the owner runs it only for his own enjoyment. You really need patience and dedication to start the ball rolling...starting anything is hard but once it gets the momentum, things will start falling at the right places.
