Geetoo: thanks for the info. shouldn't the spec tire compound also match that which will be used in china if the plan is to get used to the tires already while running the series here? but then on second thought, there's also a need to consider track conditions .... knowing our climate/weather and the track surfaces are likely different between JP Raceway and the track in China, what works here will likely not be the same compound as what will work/be used there. also, are the tires to be used premounts? or do the racers have the liberty to use their choice of rims and inserts? anyway, just somthing to think about.

just a suggestion lang, when you do the tire testing, best it be done mid to early afternoon (between 12-3pm). as we all know at JP Raceway, the track conditions while the sun is still up is different then during the late afternoon/early evening. if they work fine when the temps are up, then you get a better assurance that they will indeed be good through the course of a race day.

another thing, when do you announce who falls under novice and pro stock?

lastly, for mod open tires naman diba? just making sure. thanks in advance.

RCManila: I can't merge Novice and Super Pro for this race since the objective of the series is to give chance for the novice to win a series. I will post here later on the driver ratings for each class. Thanks for your query.

robo: Tires used the from our last HPI Challenge in Bangkok were HPI Gumballs and I should say they are good for one use only at RCS. Not the best choice really but everyone had to use it. As usual. For this year's tires for China, still is a question mark. They announced that Gumball will be scrapped out as the hand out tire and nobody knows at this time what spec tire to use in China. So right now, I think Solaris is our best choice as spec tire for our series and not Gumballs which really dont last or handle that well. Yup testing is a must in the morning considerably. In fact the track in Shanghai is not disclosed yet so I can't say whether it is indoor or outdoor pa. There were last minute changes sa venue kasi from Guangzhou to Shanghai so I really cant tell the track conditions. As for open mod, you may use any tire and its open naman if there is a quorum of at least 5 .
