edongs: Maki-car pool ka na lang with one of the scalers.

c-brain: Welcome to the thread chief. I think I saw your rig last Saturday in Mega. Tapusin mo na yan tapos sumama ka samin sa Sunday sa Angono, binyagan natin Hilux mo.

toothicure: Technically, your rig is a crawler. Pero pwedeng-pwede isabak sa trail yan, hanapan mo na lang ng scale body. Ingat lang baka ma-stress yung worm gears, medyo nag-iinit yan in long runs and scalers in this thread trail for a minimum of two hours, non-stop.

somar: Ihabol mo na sa Sunday yan, we'll wait for you sa Tropical Hut Taytay, 7am.

fEn: Na-miss mo no?

Thanks fen and maddafunker for the welcome and the vids. Wow, mukhang mahihirapan pa makipagsabayan kit ko sa inyo. ehehehe. May prior commitment ako this coming Sunday sa UP so hopefully sa susunod akong trail run makakasama.

Sa mga hilifters.... how did you go about with lifting the ground clearance and softening the suspension? I recently did a testrun sa backyard namin and noticed na matigas yung stock leaf springs and dampers, while the skidplates that protect the tranny sits kinda low.

You can try removing the leaf springs and replacing them with scx10 coilover shocks. That should be enough of a difference.

Welcome c-brain...

here are some hop-ups from RC4WD for your Hilift to address your concerns:

Clocked Tranny Cover, this will improve the tranny clearance
Steel Shooter Shackle, improve articulation
Soft Leaf Springs for Hilift...
T-Box...improves articulation
Ultra Soft Delrin Leaf Spring.

those are the hop up parts if you want to retain the original look of the hilift. but if you want to improve the overall performance JunFac has a coilover, 4 link suspension upgrade.

Wow, thanks for the tips Factory48, Crazy Crawler, and Maddafunker. Nakakalula pala sa dami ng options.

I've got my eye on the clocked tranny and soft leaf springs. Are any of these available locally or my only option is to order directly online?

Nakapaglalaway yung Junfac hopups. Kung kaya lang ng budget....

A real good friend RCKRWLR, President of W.Pa.C and a team member of RC4WD gave his highLift the full upgrade treatment. John got all the best parts including a Rapture chassis. Do check out his build thread for some ideas and feedback, on each of the components, if you want to just pick-up a few.

Here's his build at RC4WD:
http://www.rc4wdforum.com/showthread.php?t=7052

RC4WD options are totally scale (same as what people have on their 1:1) and improves performance tremendously, as well. Junfac is the cheaper alternative but not that scale realistic at all.

But if you plan to comp, might as well go SCX. You get Performance and Parts durability out of the box at a reasonable budget. Oh yeah, I still do not have an SCX

Only drawback, is a that an MFC-02 if you plan to have it, won't fit with the RC4WD.

Thanks siggy. Lots of pointers to be found in the highlift build in your link.

I've got my eyes on a Honcho kit din, but I prefer to enjoy building and running the highlift muna. I might also need to sell off a couple of on-road kits din muna to fund me a nice Honcho. ehehehe

COOL Bro! Right on in enjoying the HL's. You'd surely get best value for it kept stock and do a Honcho based Project, when your all set.

I've got a few 3speed Trucksters, and here's are my favorite pair for scale realism ...
