gregsbox - Thanks for posting the Dustin Evens interview... I remember seeing this kid racing at the Hot Rod Shootout a few times... quite friendly but he was a regular in the upper B-Mains back then. Now he is starting to win the A-Mains at some of the major races with all the top guys around... The TLR Team have found a diamond in the rough and after some polishing... he is starting to shine...

Nice short interview witht The Legend (Masami) too...

Thanks for posting!

Good! hope you can now finish your heats this coming Sunday!

Stealth,
Tnx for the items will post a trader rating.

Racers,
Good news! QCRCCC race class SCT 4x4, officers has decided to reduce the run time from 6mins to 5 mins, for qualifying and mains.
This will lessen the stress on our packs, for some who are consuming 5000mah in a heat.
Hopefully, with this adjustment, will attract more SCT 4x4 racers to join.

Hello Emer/QCRCCC officers,

Am not too sure about reducing the runtime for sc 4x4 trucks, kinda reminds me of the run times we had back in the 80's using nicad packs, imo were moving back and not forward.

Before we even had the numbers for a racing class, i have been running my truck with other bashers running hypers and jammins, we normally ran for at least 10 mins, and some even ran longer.

Races in the US run between 6 to 8 mins.

I have noticed that a few racers(maybe 1 or 2)may have some issues with run time, but the majority in my opinion including me dont have issues with the 6 min. run time, in fact i have had a few conversations with other racers to possibly suggest increasing run times to 7 mins.

I think if some racers are having issues with lasting a main, they should look at their gearing and whatever can be looked at and adjusted to reduce power consumption and have that extra power left after a main. IMO reducing the runtime for everyone to help a few having issues may not be fair.

IMO reducing the runtime and the cost of racing the class remains the same or even more expensive(compared to running other classes) is also something racers will be looking at. Not everyone races 2 classes in a day, i preffer to race 1, with your new rule I will be in the pit area more while paying more than the others?

Again, there is a very simple solution, where changing the rules will not be necessary, just gear down(among other things) .

i have been a little busy, but i will deffinitely be racing soon.....

AMEN!

Gearing, drivetrain, wheelspin are things to consider...
