Carpet Racing
I heard from Drew that St Louis is carpet track-less this year. Just wanted to spread the word that we will be racing in Carbondale, IL. Were running on Wednesday evenings right now, and will add Sundays to the mix soon. PM if you need more details, or check out our thread in the Illinois section of rctech.

I'll be running both dirt and carpet, depends on what day I have off that weekend. I do plan on going to Carbondale on some Sundays, and Allens every once in a while maybe for some oval, but that depends on if Allen will allow LIPO's this year. I think there is going to be a lipo class in BRL this year.

Chris- I talked to Allen 2day and he said that there kinda changing up their racing this winter. They are mainly gonna do Oval, prolly Electric Sprint and a 13.5 or a 17.5 Late Model Class. On-Road not for sure, but will prolly be on Wend. But they are still in the planning stages.
As for me, iam working on a JRC Late Model now! So ill be goin to Allens on occastion! Just waiting to see what the new track in Carbondale gonna do? I would love a VTA or Stock Foam Touring Class!!!

Carbondale will have 1/12 stock, 1/10 Touring FOAM stock, and World GT Stock for sure. But we will run whatever folks want, but it will be road course only. No Oval.

Iam definatly in for On-Road! Count me in for Stock Touring Foam!!!
As for Allens! He said that some of the Oval guys from South Roxana are gonna run there. Iam pretty sure Allen will be letting LIPO run since thats all the Electric Sprints and 13.5/17.5 Late Model run. NiMH is out in Dirt Oval Racing! And the new 21.5/LIPO class in the BRL Tour is getting huge!
I would love to run Oval Pan Car! Espically 21.5/LIPO Class! But iam building a 13.5/17.5 Late Model for Allens, and gonna need the funds for a Stock Foam Touring Car (Brushed/LIPO) and a 1/12th car soon.

Allens,lipos,& such..
I was at Allens this last weekend, & the general concensus at this time is to see if enough people are into running sprints & latemodels (on Customworks rubber tires!?), nothing was said about lipos, can't imagine he wouldn't let them run, they are in his building for sale. As for 21.5/lipo class, some of us (who raced oval pan car last winter) were discussing that, & when you think how hard on tires a 13.5 is vs. a 17.5, & the21.5/lipo is closer to the speed of a 10.5 car,(according to some other guys there that WOULD KNOW) it would be a huge tire/$$$ eating deal. I'm all for brushless & lipo, but not at the expense of 1-3 sets of tires each week for a club race! Oh yea,no Paragon at Allens! Looks like indoor dirt offroad for me this winter, as much as I would rather race oval, or maybe I'll have to build another 17.5 pancar & hit Allen's (120 mile drive),Carbondale (about the same), or just hit a few BRL shows. Too much uncertainty.

I'm trying with a vengence to get them both back! I know where they both are & have done everything short of going into their houses & taking them (& leave them a crisp $100.00 for their loss!). I'll keep you updated.

If the Fireblade is still in good shape I'll give them more than what they paid for it to get it back, along with any parts too of course. If not the guy should at least bring it out and race it.
And about oval, since they don't allow Paragon, I won't race there. Carbondale is on-road only, but they allow Paragon.
It's kinda weird that Allen don't allow Paragon for his weekly race's but allows it when he has a BRL race. I guess it all comes down to what the pros want when they are there! Screw the local guy!!
