I've met a lot of really cool people at smac but there are a lot of people that act like a complete ads when someone ask a question. Just sayin.
I been running this lipo for a long time now and still no swollen cells. they are also roar approved. if your looking for a inexpensive lipo these are good. I probably won't look at another $200 lipo ever again. jmo

closest is Checkered Flag in South County, about 15 minutes away on average. Next would be Mark Twain in St. Charles about 25 to 30 minutes away.

Default Race broadcast on LiveRC.com

Just a reminder to all, the race broadcast can be followed on your smartphone at url: MOBILE.LIVERC.COM

You can check everything while sitting at your pits, see what race your in, check your results, check what race is currently on the track, and follow the live scoring of the current race. The heat sheets and heat results are uploaded within 2-3 minutes of them being created (printed) in the booth. So avoid the mob and take advantage of this free service.

In my opinion, it is a better idea to buy 2 2s batteries instead of a single one. First, if a cell goes bad, only one pack is lost. Also, the fittment (at least for the gens ace) of the cells in their 2s packs are much better than their 4s packs due to a the tolerances in their cell sizes. Some 4s packs will bounce around inside their casing.

My concern about this the the heat generated. The series connection will be subject to a lot of heat. And more resistance from the plugs. One thing I'm confused about is the c rating. How important is it. I was told my numerous people to go no lower than 45c with the rx8 esc the problem is the high cost of the batteries with this c rating. And on top of that trying to find a hard case with that rating at an affordable price is not easy either. What's the best 4 cell battery at an affordable price. (100.00-150.00 or cheaper) I want a good bettery but I'm not rich. I will be running at smac for the most part. I don't know if track size netters in c rating or not. PLEASE HELP

The biggest problem with running 2 2s packs is balancing. You have to have a charger that will balance charge both packs at the same time,If not your wasting time and money. Two packs with different cell voltages will only discharge to the weakest packs capacity and puts a strain on the higher packs cells along with potential of another failure point in the jumper wire.In my opinion 4s is the way to go. As far as C rating that relates to the packs discharge capacity, for example a 45c pack will put out 1/2 the current or punch as a 90c which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on track conditions and driver skill. If your looking for a 4s hard case pack check out this ProTek battery on A-Main.com
