Non standard. A few of us tried to forewarn in the Facebook group that the odd size was gonna be a problem. Didn’t work

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. Nobody makes bodies or tires in this new size other than traxxas. No other manufacturer is going to abandon the 1/10 touring car just to follow traxxas. Tracks will need a special class for the 3.0. Protoform/Proline are Horizon now, so they probably won't be in a hurry to support the competition.

Traxxas would have been better off revamping the X01 to compete with the Felony/Infraction/Limitless. Granted, that's another chassis in a weird scale... but that aftermarket has quickly grown. Or rather, they should have gone to 1/8 scale to compete with Xray/Serpent/etc.

It's very likely that Traxxas isn't concerned with attracting racers anyway. They're going to sell the 4-Tec 3.0 Corvette to casual RCers who want one.

At the least, based on the number of speed run 4tecs I've seen, the new car could be ideal. It could even be a weapon at the drag track. But if you drift or race any other class, Traxxas no longer has a car for you.

Red face haven't tried them myself

I'm not sure as I haven't tried them myself. I attempted to order the Cobra and Fox body models directly from them, but it seems they don't ship to the US. However, I've noticed some of their models being sold on eBay at a higher price, and my brother mentioned that there might be a person associated with them on Facebook through whom you can obtain them. They offer a lot of fantastic products, so hopefully, as their popularity grows, they will become more accessible. I'm particularly interested in getting the Regal/Grand National body as well.
