News from the track - Tuesday, September 05, 2006
Drivers and Teams have started arriving in Brisbane in preperation for the start of practise on Thursday.
Drivers of note who have arrived and visited us at the track are current World Champion Adrien Bertin from Luxembourg, Ric Vrielijnck from the Netherlands and Mark Green from the UK to name a few.
Eduardo Dulac from Brazil was seen next door in Trackside RC blowing the budget on all sorts of new toys and Pedro Castro also from Brazil was quick to utilise the WIFI network to send some pictures back to his mates at home.
During the event competitors and teams will be able to access the free public WIFI network throughout the facility to not only browse the internet but to view live race timing from Quantum Timing & Slyfox Race Managment on their own Laptops, PDA's and other wireless devices like Play Station Portables.
For those without their own access there are a dozen monitors set up around the pit areas to view the race results and free internet access in the internet booth with PC's and printing facilities for those that just can't wait to catch up with family and friends back home.
For those of you not able to make it to the track we will have race results posted on the worlds website at the end of each heat and will try and get as many short video clips of the action posted as Ray Wood can provide us and as many pictures posted into the gallery as time allows when the action starts.
You can also use the forum on the worlds website to leave messages of good luck to the drivers and we will post these at the track each day.
Just on 36 hours until the start of practise so make sure you check the Worlds Website regularly for all the news & views from the 2006 IFMAR 1/10th 200mm On Road World Championship.
