I'd like to setup a long term parking lot racing series here in lower Michigan. For those of us who may have work schedules where we can't get to a track enough to practice regularly, which makes racing kinda... less fun than it should be. I'm dead serious about this. I'm a nerd, who gets very into things I do, and in addition to already having several potential locations scoped out in the Livingston County area, my eventual goal is to create a weekend warrior style SERIES, with grilles, coolers, and some racing on the cheap with fellow nerds. I'm trying to get a feel for how many people would actually SUPPORT this kind of thing in the area. So please, keep me updated on here as to support of this. I want to make it a points series so as to encourage regular attendance. If I get enough support, i'll pay out of my own pocket to make rediculous trophies and what not to encourage braggery (think the TV show "The League"). I personally plan to make custom shirts and such for my own fake racing team, in addition to working on my trash talk. I've wanted to do this for a long time, and my circumstances have changed enough to finally allow it. I'd also ideally like to keep costs down for everyone, so i'd love to open a discussion on that stuff too. Motor regulations, tires, etc.. or even if people support or discourage setting a cost limit on chassis selection or something like that. Whichever idea attracts the most interest, i'm open to. I just really wanna make racing fun again for us guys who don't have the schedule or wallet to really be competitive at the track.
