I still haven't ordered my SCTE because I can't decide on the rtr or the roller! If I go roller what esc/motor is good for it without breaking the bank on a Tekin? I've read a bunch of reviews on Novak, Castle, Viper, Hobbywing & Brushlesshobbies. What's popular here?

I think the most popular at TRCC is RX8/Pro4 combo and there are a number of Castle MMP's with the castle 4 pole motors but whichever you decide to go with it'll cool to see you out racing at the track, the more the merrier.

if you go with the rtr it comes with a castle esc mamba max pro they just call it xceloron plan on running 3 cell batt. for the tekin rx8 with pro4 4600kv is super fast its also known as the big block here at trcc how ever some guys run the hobby king or hobby wing one and they super fast too so before you make your choice come down to the track this sunday and check out the setup and how they handle so you can make a better decision

you can put a cap on anything all it does is store extra power so you dont draw it all from the rx or esc but if its working without the cap i dont think you need them but i could be wrong i got the savox servo on my e-truggy with no cap and it works fine so far however if you do put a cap and you dont need it you wont be harming anything i think they got some caps at trcc

Another great day at the track!
Had a blast mixing it up in the nitro truggy and 4x4 Shortcourse classes. I finally got to put a race tune on my Alpha and boy was that fun. Was good to see new and old faces today and would like to say "Welcome to TRCC track"! Much Mahalos to G and the rest of the guys for working on the track. Aloha.

Change of plans for me... I ended up scoring a platinum slash 4x4 with the vileneon and a 2.4 tq radio all for $150 from my neighbor! I'm in the process of tuning it up so I was wondering what the best "all around" tire is at the TRCC track? I think I remember hearing gladiators but just wanna make sure. Mahalo

BigJayjay's

I'm done painting after Honu's already. Got headaches from the fumes. My eyes are getting bad too.
Honu, yours is next. I'll try and get it done by the race next week.
