Actually, I watched the exact show/episode where this remark was uttered. (The Breakfast Club on YT. It's a hip hop/rap/black culture radio show that's very popular among blacks, naturally.)
Suffice to say, that entire episode was strange AF.

I have to hand it to you on this one. Even the show's hosts were bewildered.
I wouldn't say it was divisive so much as fuckin weird and a massive turnoff. He also (perhaps unintentionally) stated an unspoken but obvious truth. Blacks don't really have much of an option politically, unless if they own a business.

To be fair to the guy, he's technically not wrong. You should always vote in your own best interests, it's the one time in life you're allowed to be totally selfish. I can hardly blame him for wanting job security.
