At least the nice thing is, the fast guys are usually pretty courteous to us slow guys. The mains can get a little dicey, but I know at Winder I was in the way and watched Eddy be very patient in getting around me multiple times. There is also a huge learning advantage to being with faster drivers. You not only see their lines, but you see where the gain/pull way from you and for me at least, that is incredibly helpful.

My fast lap in a race is almost always right after I get lapped by one of the faster drivers, I can follow a faster driver for a lap or two until I have a bobble, then without them directly in front of me I often loose the ability to know when to brake and throttle, I can find the line generally but I have to drive a lot slower when I'm on my own to keep on the line than I can when I'm following someone
