Default All F1 drivers read this NOW!

After 3 days of talking with other F1 clubs around the U.S. I have come to realize I have made a grave error. This was through my own ignorance and my fault alone. There is "NO" motor comparable to the silvercan as far as speed being the same with any brushless system. Such a motor does not exist. Any bl system is going to cost more than the car. Not on my track. F1 is and always be a fun and affordable class for all who want to race. It was only when I was looking for a bl system for me that I saw that the price is beyond what I and the F1 drivers here want probably to spend. All of the racers here are running $17 silvercans and enjoy them as is. To get get new people interested in racing we need F1 and karts and Mini's to get them started. When they are ready to commit they can advance to any class they like. I know I said that the F1 rule would not change but I think we need to shy away fom BL for this class. I think it is a smart move for us and everyone else that want's to race with us.

You don't have to reply about this. I was given bad info about the BL motors being what they are. Many clubs are using them which is fine but not everyone these days has such deep pockets. Thank you. F1 will stay with silvercans. Pancar F1's will not change.

Those are 1/10 flat chassis cars such as the associated 10L some were made to use the Tamiya bodies like the new and old corally, the Alpha ,CRC, MLP and a few others that use the wide foam tires.

I guess it was just a matter of time, every on road thread I've ever read on here comes to this eventually. It would be funnier if it didn't turn so many off to showing up to the tracks. I generally dont buy things everytime a class starts up for this reason. Once I see guys showing up at the track for a class and its sorta established I'll join in. The mini is always ready, silver can ready.

I been racing the f1's since 2006 and have been running the 27t and silvercans in them.. I just dont have the esc's anymore for brush. All the ones i have now are for brushless. And since it was origianlly posted that 21.5 could be use i bought a motor for it.

they definately look real cool. If i start seeing them show up at Hotshots i might be motivated to get one, well, motivated enough...they look cool as hell. Then again, i'm still trying to figure out how to drive a VTA.
