FSEARA 2015-2016 new season proposals
Lets get a little discussion going for the next season.
Running tech @Village, it was obvious the first thing we need to fix is to all get on the same page with the Trans Am class. With the USVTA Nationals in Valkarie i think we should support our FL track and go USVTA.
Now that i hit the hot button, any other thoughts or proposals?!
Bill Fraden, in 3,2,1..."how about F1? or spec 1/12th? or truck?"

More carpet. Add 301 and 386.

They voted on this last time and Roar. Rules were voted in. I'm up for another recount on vta. As far as tracks go. You at least have to check out 301 raceway. Dispute all the bad mouthing about carpet. It's an awesome track. Great facility and a great bunch of guys who run it. It's a big challenging track. You need to at least come and see for yourself before you write it off. Thanks Jeff for all you have done. We will miss racing with you.

As far as track selection goes, senority rules. these guys get first choice.
from last season schedule(senority-disclaimer i guessed at some of their rankings but its close),
Valkaria(7)(banquet? may be locked into the first race)
Port Charlotte(6)
Strickland(3)
Minnreg(1)(Hall availability)
Full Throttle(4)
Village(5)
Superior(2)
Nugget(regions host)(8)

I am for combining VTA, whatever works for everyone.
I think we should go to 2 days events again, 3 qualifiers on Saturday 2 and a main on Sunday. The guys that can't make it both days still have a chance on Sunday. Make the entry $40/class, the tracks and the series make the same amount of money and the series becomes a little more "serious seeming". Of course, if you only race on Sunday then you still only pay the $25.00.

ADD SPEC175GT
???? TIRES TIRES TIRES ?????? would like to suggest the team powers 36r
for the new series tire
the village is using them as a spec tire and VALKARIA
would be nice if other tracks would do the same and we didn't have to use
5 brands of tires to go racing

It was just a suggestion for 301. I'm all for novak motors in vta. Just the whole weight thing. Adding 140 grams to a car seems out of wack.for some rules they came up with 10 plus years ago. Perhaps 1500 grams total would make everyone happy in the state series. Not trying to start a war here.but racing has changed since then.
1550 is what all USVTA events run if you change any of the rules then
its not USVTA its just vta and then it don't count for points in the series
these rules are in place so any racer from any state can go to a race
and be on a level playing field....

Okay I'm on now.
One day events. I can't make Saturdays unless you go to a different weekend. I don't think several others can make Saturday either.
WGT-Spec175GT. and for a carpet track-386 should be added to the list for tracks bidding.
VTA might as well got with the weight of USVTA but allow different motors.
Tech needs someone like the old Tech G'd or Tony Munno.
I will be glad to help out getting raffle prizes for the series.

The tracks that I listed have first choice. If any of them decline or can't hold a race then its next track up. If another track wants to be in consideration they(the track ownership) need to be on here and let us know that they are interested in hosting a race. Chris @386 has already done that. So let 301 know about this thread and introduce themselves. If both these new carpet tracks don't get a race in the Series this year, please place a bid for Region 4 Championships!
