RCGT with any non boosted esc sounds good to me.

Correct, any non race body. Meaning no Speed 6, LTCR, etc. Best bodies in my opinion are the NSX and the RX8. The tires are the HPI X-Pattern tire only. These are the rules we ran last year anyways.

Several have asked to have Vintage...I'd say bring them to the first race and see if it survives....this class is so similar to RCGT specs, kind of redundant, but could compete together? Now would be the time to discuss and give any input.

I've heard 13.5 as an option, but am not sure we need something faster than 17.5 boosted, and easily as fast as most mod cars.

F1 will probably be the promoter's class and whatever else has enough to run.

All who race the first race will also get dinner included with their race entry.
So is there a Mod class? I wish there was. By the way, Mod in Hong Kong is 4.0 - 5.5 with timing & boost, so it's much faster than 17.5. I show up at the first race back in hong kong with what i have from the regional & got rap

Can we just have the same class as last year?

if RCGT driver said HPI tire is too expensive, may be consider switching to Solaris for cheaper option.

RCGT 17.5 non timming (for beginner or non sponsor driver)
17.5 timing (the stock spec class)
open mod (any motor you want to finish the race.)
F1 (new class)
WGT 17.5 ( just like last year)

Race One: Florida Indoor RC Complex, Plant City - any idea what gear ratio to run at this track for RCGT non boost? I'll be using the TA06 which has a 2.17 internal gear ratio (I believe it's the same as the Cyclone TC)?

Yo chinamonkey- WGT has never run 17.5 It's been 13.5! It's also been open speedo and open tires.
Any of you guys planning on running F1- as a option class? Only 3 of you showed up at Minregg. Heck this is your home track!

F1 is a popular class in Hong Kong, a total of 3 heat during the race, the only hard part is to get a hold of the tire.

Using a Novak motor, I gear around 4.5 overall. I believe others with different motors are at 4.0 or below.

WGT and F1 for me.- don't really care what they do in Hong Kong as this is the Florida state series .And the F1's they race are based there in Plant City.
