I guess we can't expect much since they still supply Silvercans in the kits! Come on Tamiya, jump into the 21st century.

Tamiya does funny things all the time, at least this chassis was a big step in the right direction (motor fitment aside).

Hi,

I race now the m07 the 3rd year and because of a great deal of my local dealer I bought now a M07R and build it up the last days... only new part was the lipo holder and the new chassis. Now my question, the reinforced chassis is much more flexy in my hands than the regular. Should I sell it and stick to the #51600 or is the flexy one anygood?
I just ask because unused I can get maybe some money... used not!
thanks

greetings from Austria

Initially abandoned because of the easy sidewall tears, I have revisited the Ride TCS mini tires, and like them quite a bit once the sidewalls were sorted. Two hard days on one set, and they've been great. A public service announcement. lol

The new chassis is MUCH better. You get a lot more grip from it.

Yes. For lower grip tracks it's definitely useful. I'm not so sure about black carpet though.

in my experience
i have found it to be great on high grip asphalt and carpet,
though my local track is a super low grip tight track where we struggle for front end grip and having the new chassis seems to exagerate that more as it generates more rear end traction,

Hi, I have been looking for some droop setting, my question is what is a good racing setup, I am running on an asphalt medium grip, my car is at 225. Also where do you guys recommend to measure it, (low part of the hub)???

hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks in advance.

I aim for ballpark 2mm over ride height, "measured" by eye. Then I use calipers to make sure it's even left to right by measuring the shock length at full extension while on the car.

IMO, you'll need to find settings that match your tracks' current grip levels and what you're trying to achieve with the car.

Chassis on flat surface, use calipers and measure from top of axle to flat surface.

Default Longest lasting tires?

Hey fellow M-Chassis racers,

I've been out of the scene for quite some time and I'm looking to start some spec style silver can M-Chassis gatherings with some friends. I'm looking for the longest lasting tires for smooth asphalt. Do you guys remember the HPI Mini X-Pattern Radials? Those used to last forever and give the perfect amount of grip (well, I tuned the suspension around the tires). What's out there these days that last a long time and isn't hard to find? Thanks!
