Sure it's not 100 options but better then a hand full. Some HPI Porsche and civic lids still out there too.

See post #426 here, one of local guys solved Reedy problem this way. Essentially remove wire bullet cups and wire directly off boards on back, still cramped and requires slightly above average soldering skills. TCS should allow a little dremeling in this area regardless, it's a genuine problem.

The 21.5 Reedy motor used in last tcs national had been modified to fit the chassis, if my memory is right.
Wonder why reedy decided to put the tab lile this. I really hate this kind of design(same goes to the old hobbywing justock).

Can someone please measure the distance between front and rear body post. I found a hidden gem of a body that is redrilled, but I don’t have anything to reference it.
Edit: does anyone know if the 2006 mini shell works?

good question, it’s the long wheelbase. On paper it looks like it should work, but I am concerned due to the body being predrilled. In fact everything on paper matches up, but nothing confirms it fits with the predrilled holes. I have my LHS putting it aside so I can just pick it up regardless since they are rare or overpriced

Only the SWB shells have hole alignment issues. This is because the m07 only fits MWB and LWB shells. To use SWB bodies, you need to somehow re-drill the shell holes to a MWB setting or make the franken-mount the rear body mounts to a the rear body mount brace AND re-drill the shell mounting holes to THAT.

As you can see it’s an old body. Figure I would do a mini since these bodies are discontinued and I got a good price on it. No other body really looks that great. I wish the CRX had a more scale look to it.
Now the wait for all my other parts. Sigh

Is Tamiya going to release an R version of m07?

Tamiya are showing the M07R at the Toy Fair in Germany at the end of this month.
The only "new" parts seem to be CF battery retainers. Other than that it comes with TRF alloy dampers and the CF bumper mount.

The R versions usually don’t have a ton of “exclusive” parts...maybe 1 or 2. Typically they include a good chunk of the hop ups that we racers usually buy anyways. They may be including hard plastics, dcjs and some other goodies. In the long run it’s cheaper to start with an R...or at least it used to be. Tamiya kit prices in the US have become silly. I can see the new M07R being close to $300 which will turn buyers off.
