Just looked at Hara's car here at RCS. It's not the new version or anything. He is using the box stock one(only that it's all purple). There is no new rear diff, support mount, etc that I see on his Cyclone. He's using Excel parts for the spool and the aluminum rear peice(were the graphite holds the mid gears). Other than that, everything is stock out of the box.

Hara said that there is a Hara and Surikarn Edition Cyclone. Out at the end of april(he is not sure though because he said that he did not work on this project).

MUCH MORE Racing is also here. Lots of MMR goodies!

Kyosho is here with thier new ride-lots of red bling. Looks really nice. TEAM MMR are all here practicing.

Race: Thailand International Touring car Championship 2006 February 16-18.

I cant wait for this event, me and a buddy are heading over to Thailand tomm night. It is a huge entry list of Asian and European drivers, cant wait to watch the A final action.

I have not been able to find any forum discussion about this race though? is there any english discussion anywhere?

JimmyMac 02-13-2006 09:51 PM

What kind of 23t motors is the stock class running? Make? Standup or Laydown brushes? I wouldn't mind trying one out locally just for fun during practice...

Scotty Ernst 02-14-2006 03:53 AM

Hi Guys, Scotty and Charlie here. First day of pracitce went well. This place is Awesome! Beautiful track, Outstanding Hobby shop and great food, Charlie says the food here rivals Snackside back at Trackside. Most of the pros are here and have been here for many days. No sign of Rheinard yet. Traction was very good today, Charlie keeps Bi#$hing about it being to hot. HOT HOT HOT. But the big bottles of water cost only .15 cents. Everything here is cheap. Yesterday we had fresh seafood from the ocean right infront of the resturant and beers for 20 bucks for 5 guys. That is about it for now. Going to call it a night. We will check in tomorrow.
Cya,
Scotty

No restriction on brush. The general spec of 23T is: no bearing, fixed timing, rebuildable-ok, 23T. Usually all 23T motor is under this spec, there are pretty much no spec/outlaw like 19T and 27T.

However, if you wanna race under JMRCA, you can only using JMRCA certified motor.

JoeyE 02-14-2006 06:53 AM

Traction is always great at RCS. I've been going there for almost a couple of years now(well, I live here, haha)anyway, this should be a fun race if you win or not. Yes it is HOT. Last night was cooler though. On Sunday, it rain so hard! I was pitting with Hara and can't hear eachother talk anymore and so it time to go home and paint a new body.

Hope to get out there sometime soon to take some pictures of peeps and things. If anyone of you want to go around Bangkok, let me know. I can take you on a little tour ;)

Joey Ellis - California-Union City-USA

Deceased Guy 02-14-2006 08:09 AM

Does the little tour include massage and sex?

JoeyE 02-14-2006 08:45 AM

I mean if you want to check out "other" things like Khaosan Road, Sukumvit, Silom, JJ, etc. You can find what you need and what you want. Anyway, about 80-100% sure you will catch something, guaranteed! Something you don't want to take home for a souvenir

Okay, going to go out to RCS and buy some control tire sets later and some practice.

Sounds cool. Is it a standup or laydown brushed motor?

Yeh... keen to see how me Aussies are going!

JoeyE 02-16-2006 11:01 PM

KilRuf...the brushes are standup. Just practiced with it Thursday and my friend tweaked it a bit and now it's fast! Well, running it 4.8 ratio helps a bit, haha. Good enough for 5-minutes but anything after that, the motor get's a bit HOT!

I will post some pictures later when I get a chance. To busy working on my car. I saw many cameras flashing so there might be some pix posted somewhere. I'll post from the track since RCS has WIFI.

With a 4.8 ratio,a HOT motor is really an understatement.

Hi, Joey...May I know how are the Singapore guys doing?? Thanks. :)

Seeing a lot of 3700s. Wasn't the IB4200 and GP4300 allowed at this race?

He already is - for 1/8th buggy ;) oh, and AH Twister speedos

Some of the folks who were commenting on Hara's switch to Futaba may be interested to see that Hara is using MM chargers.
