I got one in a trade that the guy said he couldn't get it to work either. I tinkered with it for about 5 min and then decided it was not worthy of bing in my pit box. Later, when I didn't have anything to do, I took it and started playing with it. I now can do some smaller projects with it and it does work, but it is slow

I have/had one. I tried it for about 5 minutes. It did not work, got frustrated, tossed it into the woods behind my house. If you want it, you can find it there.

it works, but its very finicky with how you bridge the fork on the tip... if you have what you're working on clamped down and open its not too bad (just takes a little time), but if you're soldering something that can move around then its pretty difficult... for RC stick with a regular iron...

My wife ordered one for my B-day last year. My B-day is in early Jan, she ordered it in late Dec, and it got there in mid April! It absolutly sux, unless you solder "teeny tiny" wires, it really does suk, don't waste your $$$
On a side note, the wire stripper/cutter that came with it is awsome, so we didn't get totally ripped off.

I saw one get used at the local track. Hold it on the metal needle on a bearing oiler and you can make smoke signals. Thats all its good for.

Would you be offended if I asked you to keep your politics out of your RC posts.
I would be glad to discuss the reasons behind the President’s Iraq policy with you in a PM. If your political opinion is the result of thought and study, then I am sure I will benefit from your insights.
Do you really want people to append their beliefs on abortion, the death penalty and gay marriage to their RC posts?
